We Believe
We believe that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, in the original manuscripts; it is “God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe that “the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).
We believe that Jesus is “the way, and the truth, and the life; and that no one comes to the Father but through Him” (John 14:6).
We believe that “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
We believe that “while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:6-8).
We believe that we are made new in Christ and “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We believe “if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin...” (Romans 6:5-6); therefore, we have a choice and can CHOOSE not to sin.
We believe that as disciples we need to continuously "die to self," (Romans 8:13-14), "pick up our cross daily and follow after the Lord," (Luke 9:23-24) and "crucify all desires of the flesh on the Cross of Christ" (Galatians 5:24).
We believe that we have “different kinds of gifts but the same Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:4) and every Christ Follower has a specific calling and function in the body of Christ and when they realize WHO THEIR GOD IS, and WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR THEM, then they can begin to know WHO they are in Him and THEN their calling and function in the body of Christ will be a beautiful outpouring of that perspective.
We believe that there is a difference between “believing” and living it out...we can be believers and not followers. Our faith requires action and being a Christ Follower, a disciple of Christ, will take action on our part! Therefore, we believe that “all who are being LED by the Spirit of God, these are the children of God” (Romans 8:14).
We believe in the resurrection power of Christ and that “the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first” (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
We believe and hold fast to the truth of Revelation 21, that there will be a “new heaven and a new earth” and that “the tabernacle of God will be among men and He will dwell among them and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
We believe that “our citizenship is in heaven and we eagerly await a Savior from there the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so they will be like His glorious body” (Philippians 3:21).
We believe that the Lord is making “all things new” (Revelation 21:5) and we get to partner with Him here to do His kingdom work.
WOW Discipleship Ministry has a foundation rooted and grounded in the Word of God and it is our heartfelt desire to see every believer grow in their knowledge of WHO their God is and WHAT He has done for them, so that they can then begin to walk in the calling of WHO they are in Christ.
